Despite losing Kamindu Mendis and Theekshana, Sri Lanka could still tie the score while chasing a target of 138 runs. but were only able to score two runs, losing the game in the Super OVER.

Mahesh Theekshana bowled, while Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav of India arrived for the Super OVER. After hitting a FOUR on the opening delivery, SKY won the game. India wins the series as a result.

Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis of Sri Lanka came to the crease in the super over, while Washington Sundar bowled for India. In the second delivery, Parera was dismissed as Ravi Bishnoi made the catch. Nissanka strolled back to the pavilion as well. The Super OVER saw Sri Lanka score two runs.

Pathum Nissanka (26) scored a stunning knock, but Kusal Perera (46) and Kusal Mendis (43) led the Sri Lankan squad from the front with steady knocks. Other batters were limited to 10 runs in their scoring.

Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, Rinku Singh, and Ravi Bishnoi all claimed two wickets apiece for India.

Previously, in the third Twenty20 International match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on July 30, India set a target of 138 runs for Sri Lanka to pursue after losing the toss.

Rain caused the match to be delayed, so India's start was erratic and they kept losing wickets. Nevertheless, after losing nine wickets, managed to score 137 in twenty overs.

Shubman Gill hit 39 runs off of 37 balls for India, and Riyan Parag (26), Washington Sundar (25), and others made significant contributions.

Wanindu Hasaranga and Mahesh Theekshana both claimed wickets for Sri Lanka. Asitha Fernando, Ramesh Mendis, and Chamindu Wickramasinghe each claimed one wicket.

Suryakumar Yadav-led India will play the final match of the T20I series on July 30 against the host team after winning the series against Charith Asalanka-led Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on July 28 by a margin of 7 wickets.

India won the series after defeating Sri Lanka twice in two days at Pallekelle: first by 43 runs on July 27 and again by 7 wickets on July 28.

Shubman Gill was injured in the second game, so Sanju Samson was allowed to play. Gill's availability to play in the encounter on Wednesday is still unknown.

India and Sri Lanka will play three one-day international series after the Twenty20 International Series. Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team in these matches.
